A Midsummer Night's Dream

Seeking actors for all roles in Shakespeare's beloved comedy. Experience with Shakespearean text preferred. Performances will be held at the Veridian Playhouse in late October.

Preparation: Prepare a 1-minute Shakespearean monologue (comedic preferred).

Chicago (The Musical)

Auditioning triple-threat performers (actors who can sing and dance) for the roles of Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly, and Billy Flynn. Strong dance background required. Performances scheduled for November and December at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.

Preparation: Prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show and be ready to learn a short dance combination.

The Glass Menagerie

Seeking actors for the roles of Amanda Wingfield, Tom Wingfield, Laura Wingfield, and Jim O'Connor in Tennessee Williams' poignant drama. A deep understanding of character work is essential. Rehearsals begin in early September.

Here are some essential tips to help you nail your next audition. Remember to be confident, be yourself, and showcase your unique talent. Our instructors, including renowned acting coach Anya Petrova, emphasize the importance of these foundational elements.

Know Your Material: Thoroughly analyze the script or sides provided. Understand your character's motivations, objectives, and relationships. Practice your lines until they feel natural and organic.
Choose the Right Monologue: Select a monologue that showcases your strengths and aligns with the type of roles you aspire to play. The monologue should be age-appropriate and allow you to demonstrate a range of emotions.
Dress Appropriately: Wear clothing that is comfortable and allows you to move freely. Avoid overly distracting or revealing attire. Choose colors that complement your complexion and make you feel confident.
